Overcome cultural and commercial barriers
“My job is achieving growth and hitting sales targets by successfully managing the customer group within my area of responsibility. Plus: managing the Middle Eastern engineering specification requirements and driving demand for stone wool products and systems among leading ownership groups, global design houses, EPC and industry consultants. That can be quite a challenge in this extremely diverse region. There are often many cultural and commercial barriers to conducting business. My role is to find the best solution to overcome them in the best interests of our customers and ROCKWOOL Technical Insulation. That’s why, in my day-to-day activities, I’m mainly engaged in stakeholder interactions through face-to-face meetings. A high percentage of my time I’m travelling around the Middle East ensuring the physical presence of ROCKWOOL Technical Insulation for customers.”
The main reason
Being a sales manager, it’s my job to develop sales. Our sales process is a long one because of how lengthy the projects are, so I find it very rewarding to see our hard work bearing fruit. But that was not the main reason I applied for this position. ROCKWOOL is regarded as a highly innovative and environmentally responsible organization. I’m very excited to be part of it and to be able to contribute to efficient energy consumption and reducing CO2 emissions. For me, a job at a global leader in the insulation industry was a great opportunity.”
