SeaRox® lightweight insulation

Our SeaRox solutions for A-class steel constructions consist of the SeaRox FB 6000 range of exceptionally lightweight, flexible stone wool fire boards, and the SeaRox FM 6000 range of lightweight fire mats, which are delivered with reinforced aluminium foil on one side as standard.

Selecting the right SeaRox solution for your A-class steel construction will depend on your specific needs and priorities. Whether that means minimising weight, reducing thickness, or using the minimum number of products, our extensive product range can be used in multiple combinations to create the optimal solution for you. The range is also designed to optimise installation speed and, in most cases, offers the freedom to select installation method and product type (board or mat).

Our SeaRox range of lightweight insulation also covers fire-rated solutions for 4mm and 6mm aluminium constructions. Typically used on smaller navy vessels, river cruises, ferries and yachts. With a limited assortment we cover the main applications at the same time offering fast installation and optimal workability.

It offers the same benefits as our products for A-class steel constructions, delivering highest fire safety (according to IMO 2010 FTP Code) and high acoustic performance (tested according to ISO 10140-2 and ISO 717-1).

Also available is our SeaRox MA 7000 ALU: a soft, low-weight mat that offers an optimal combination of thermal insulation and excellent acoustic performance contributing to a comfortable climate onboard. The product is supplied as a highly compressed roll with reinforced aluminium foil on one side. Like all our stone wool products, it comes with low water absorption and can withstand temperatures of up to 1000˚C without melting, providing an optimal solution without compromises.
