UN Global Compact

The UN Global Compact is a United Nations initiative to encouraging businesses worldwide to adopt sustainable and socially responsible policies, and to report on their implementation. The UN Global Compact is a principle-based framework for businesses, stating ten principles in the areas of human rights, labour, the environment and anti-corruption. It is a voluntary initiative based on CEO commitments to implement universal sustainability principles and to take steps to support UN goals.

Pathways to low-carbon and resilient development

The Paris Climate Agreement represents a defining moment that solidifies international cooperation for climate action. However, the challenge is to bring all sectors of society and the economy into alignment with the Paris Agreement’s ambition to limit global average temperature, whilst ensuring they are achieved in parallel to the SDGs.

We see the Pathways to low-carbon and resilient development platform as one way to become a catalyst for enhancing country-level action in achieving these goals and have therefore chosen to actively involve ourselves.

Health is everyone's business

The aim of the United Nations Global Compact’s (UNGC): Health is everyone’s business action platform is to convene a broad coalition of leading businesses, UN, academic and civil society partners to set a global business agenda for SDG 3.

Prioritising ‘good health for all’ as a corporate goal, the platform explores how businesses can drive sustainable change whilst supporting a future of health and well-being.

The coalition will advance multi-stakeholder collective action for health-resilient communities, creating tools and resources that offer practical solutions for all companies to undertake and adopt leading practices, which demonstrate real impact.
